Q: How long with tooth kandy last?
A: Anywhere from 6 months to 24 months for crystals.
6 months to 12 for gold charms and diamonds due to the extra weight.
Q: With the jewelry harm my tooth?
A; No, tooth kandy is bonded to the enamel like an orthodontic bracket for braces which means no damage, drilling or etching.
Q: What happens if my tooth kandy falls off?
A: Tooth Kandy is not harmful if swallowed as there are no sharp edges, your body will naturally pass them.
Q: What if I want to replace an existing gem?
A: The existing gem will need to be removed by your dentist and existing bonding material will need to be polished off.
Q: How do I brush my teeth with tooth kandy?
A: Just as you would normally do, however we recommend that you not brush hard or with an electric tooth brush.
Q: Can I use tooth whitening products?
A: No this is not recommended due to the tooth gems loosing their shine due to the chemicals in whitening products.
Q: Can I still get a tooth cleaning from my Dentist?
A: Yes, you should still have your teeth professionally cleaned. The tooth jewelry will not cause a problem for your hygienist cleaning your teeth. The area underneath the tooth kandy is sealed like a filling and will not let in any bacteria. The hygienist can easily polish on top and around your tooth kandy with a soft point/cup.
